Behemoth Telly
Great Telly well beyond my own technological capacities. For example what lead do I need to hook a laptop to the thing. The humungus picture is great and I only have the normal definition Sky - I'll get the HD version and see the 6 Nations in all its horror. Kick quicker Cipriani or stay home. Johnson get your boots back on.
The sd slot is great and the blueray matching panasonic player is sliding nicely in price - deflation is not all bad.

Great Service from Amazon
TV arrived on a Monday ( mid December), found to be faulty. Arranged set collection and replacement online. Faulty set collected Tuesday. Replacement TV arrived Wednesday! Very pleased with TV, superb picture and sound.

Great freeview - lousy HDMI
Great Freeview lousy HDMI
First the plus points - great video processing through the "Freeview" decoder. Sound excellent.
Niggles
The guide occupies only a small part of the screen - the rest cluttered with space for adverts, and instructions. Seem to be changing page all the time to see what is on.
Some back light bleed in the top left and bottom right, and only moderately encouraging noises from Panasonic about getting it fixed / changed. Reading round seems to be a very common problem with this unit.
Very difficult to get the facial colour tone correct
Unacceptable
When connected through SCART, HDMI there is no up-sampling. Have a nearly new Sony HDD recorder / DVD player, this has massive ghosting and "very blocky" display through SCART, only slightly improved when connecting the HDMI. Sent the TV back.
My opinion - great TV if you are going to go for high def TV and BlueRay. If you have old DVD's / or a HDD recorder forget it, and keep your old CRT!

Do not believe Amazon
Amazon will get you to order this product, wait for 6 weeks then tell you it is not available - meaning you forgo buying it eslewhere and stocking up on other useless Amazon junk while you wait.
This business practice is not acceptable.
