Not fit for what it is meant for!!

The rear cable is completely inadequate, I will be unable to use the rear speakers, my living room is not that big (15' x 13') and the rear speaker cable only goes half way around my room. The cable is also fixed, so unless you are prepared to do some DIY and sort out some extra cabling (at your cost) for the rears then this system is useless. This cabling issue is obviously a cost cutting measure. I am even more annoyed because I have used my birthday money to buy this thing. Don't bother phoning Panasonic either, their customer service is crap, not in the slightest bit helpful, would not supply me with any more cable to sell or supply for free, or give me any advice. I have got alot of Panasonic goods but this has put me off them. I did not buy from Amazon but I wish I had, at least their returns are hassle free, bought mine from another internet firm who supply sound and vision products and they did not want to know when I phoned them. Very poor.

Cable length

This is a great system, DVD, ipod dock/charger all in one. Looks great, sounds excellent and of course, its PANASONIC! Great price for a simple, quality product.

Mixed bag
(3 out of 5) by D. Pickering on May 28, 2009Audio is warm and if you tune the sub woofer you can get a nice amount of bass. The up-scaler on this product is hopeless standard DVD players. on xbox the volume can go incredibly loud but when viewing a DVD or Blu-ray (via the optical cable) it most of the time time has to go to 80% for reasonable volume. The USB doesn't work and when you use the ipod dock you can only use the centre speaker. The Optical input will not decode DTS and for full 5.1 you must have DDPL2 turned onto either music or movies. Im not going to talk about the cable length because all the other reviews have it covered.
