OK, we've established that speaker cabling supplied is short in length. If you let that disuade you from purchasing this kit then you are missing out on fantastic sound and picture quality at an incredibly reasonable price - not to mention a host of other functionality. For the record, I picked up some quality cabling and a roll of insulating tape and I promise you there was no loss in the rich sound this system supplies! This is the third home cinema kit I've owned and is far and away the best quality - it was also half the price of my replaced Sony.

This is an excellent piece of kit, the sound quality is amazing, especially for the price. I'm surprised about all the comments on the cable length of the rear speakers. Mine are 7.5 metres long. Over 25 feet of cable is plenty long enough for my 17' by 13' lounge, and it's easy to cut and extend the wires further if required.

I purchased this at the weekend and I am more than happy with the perfomance in sound and picture. This has replaced an old Sony SAV system and one important part of the purchase was the optical input so I could attach my console and sky+ using an optical splitter. This works realy well and the other selling point for me was the IPOD dock. It's fantastic and makes accessing your music simple.
There are a couple of negatives. As mentioned in the previous review the speakers are hardwired and I agree that the length of wire supplied is a lot to be desired. It would appear Panasonic have decided we all have very small rooms for our surround!
I also failed to see any packages that had two rear floor standing and two front satelites. So I had to compromise of four satelite speakers and wall brackett.
Another thing to note is make sure you read the manual. My Viera 32" supports 1080i and I expected the DVd player to simply detect this and upscale accordingly. I kept seeing the 570P sign and could not find any settings relevant to change this. Suffice to say the setting is hidden under the function button on menu3.
Overall a great purchase and this compliments my Viera 32" LCd brilliantly.

Very happy with all the Panasonic range.Recently bought the Samsung series 6 and went for the SC-PT460EB because of the discrete sat.speakers and ipod dock.the sound is spectacular with all the bass and rumble you`ll ever need.Top end is crisp and clear and it all looks very neat and under stated.Speaker cable was not an issue(though I cannot see the problem) as I used my own cable to sink in the walls,then spliced the ends on.My wife who thinks speakers are ugly things loves this system,so we bought a second system to replace the existing panasonic we have with tallboy speakers.One bonus I didn`t expect was the FM/AM radio tuner/optical input.What a cracking little system for the money!

After getting my system set up with my Panasonic Viera 32" Full HD LCD and my PS3, i was blown away and to put the icing on the cake the ipod dock is so cool i have my Ipod touch slotted in and its fully remote controlable, also if you have a panasonic tv with viera link its cool. all things considered Price, Quality & variety of technology its top class 10/10. would reccommend to any1 who doesn't want to speed any more than 250 to 300 on a sound system.
