Excellent bit of kit. Great sound quality when using the headphone jack. Picture is nice and clear, no lines running down the 7" screen like cheaper makes.
Follow the clear instructions and the battery life will be 5 hours. I believe this to be the only 7" model with a 5 hour life. Their usually 2.5-3hr.
I would recommend this model to anybody!

I bought this last week to keep my son amused during a holiday and have been thoroughly delighted with my purchase. Having viewed several portable players in high street shops in order to guage quality, i did take a gamble on the evidence of the previous reviews not having seen the picture quality in person and have been very please that i did. This is an outstanding piece of kit.

What a fantastic product. The picture quality is the best I have seen. I am so satisfied with this product that this is the first time I have ever reveiwed anything. Take my word for it, the Sony DVPFX720 is definately money well spent.

I bought this player to entertain my young daughter in the back seat of a car and it does just that. It's easy to use and the controls can be locked so that prying hands won't work. the remote control is very handy as well. No need to reach back to start/stop DVD's. It does need a case to make it mount in a car but these are quite cheap and double as a very handy carry case for the player and DVD's. All in all well worth the money.

Had a philips dual screen player but the second screen died soon after purchase, this was the second DVD player that we had experienced problems with. So this time we researched on Amazon before buying the Sony, as the other reviews state, the build quality is great and that really is the selling feature. The picture is excellent, the sound however is not the loudest, so in the car we plug in an additional speaker or use headphones which works fine. It doesn't come with a case which is a shame, we shopped around but only found a bigger case which is still supposed to fit, would have been worth buying the correct size. The other feature which we really liked was the battery pack which fits neatly to the bottom of the player when required (the philips didn't have this option). We have used the battery pack and the charge did last really well and matched up to what we were lead to expect. Overall just love the look (which in red is very stylish)and the build quality.
