Great buy

(5 out of 5) by C. W. Charnley on Aug 21, 2008 (Herts England)
Bought this from another source, initially I was going to buy the Canon Ixus 80, which I bought for my wife last week! After a discussion with a friend who knows about the lens went for this. Great little camera & simple to use. Still exploring all the possible functions but so far so good. Love the quality of the colour & the zooming capability is excellent with amazing clarity.

Fujifilm FinePix Digital Camera

(4 out of 5) by Taibrics on Feb 8, 2009 (Anglesey,North Wales)
I bought this to replace a broken Pentax Digital Camera. This is my 4th Digital Camera, my 1st was a Fujifilm bought in January 2002. My printer is a 5700x 1400 so going for one over the 8.2mp would be a waste of money. The features are there for one to experiment but I just chose the most appropriate setting and let the camera do the finer things.I prefer the Fuji's battery over the AAA's my Samsung uses,it lasts much longer.I'm glad I've gone back to Fujifilm.

Not Fujifilm's best effort

(1 out of 5) by Ian Shaw on Feb 8, 2009 (Warwickshire, UK)
Bought this for my daughter at Christmas and, although feature packed and superficially a nice camera, I wouldn't recommend it.

Within hours of its first use the mode selector dial had mal-functioned and was either not changing mode or giving a completely different one to that selected.

I've had Fujifilm cameras for years and always found them reliable and robust so this came as something of a surprise. Closer inspection (and something I missed when reviewing it before purchase) shows that the selector dial actually overhangs the side of the camera and it may be this that makes it vulnerable.

Had to return it for refund (Amazon service in this respect is excellent - the 1 star is for the camera, not for Amazon). Replaced with another Fujifilm camera - a J120 exclusive to Comet (but very similar to the J150 available from Amazon) - which is excellent and has had no problems.

Easy to use, shame about the lack of hard copy manual!

(4 out of 5) by G. Todd on Mar 8, 2009 (Essex, UK)
This is a good camera for someone, like me, who wants to take happy snaps rather than anything more 'serious'. The only downside is there are a lot of functions on the camera which is great on the one hand but the lack of a 'hard copy' user manual (only on disc to be downloaded to PC) makes it a little tricky to check when one is out and about! I wanted to do a timer photo the other day and for the life of me couldn't figure it out. Had to wait till I got home to read up on the process via my downloaded user manual.
But that aside the pictures produced are good quality and when printed off, remain good quality. I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend this camera for the general user.

Very Pleased

(5 out of 5) by Mrs. K. Dinsey on May 2, 2009 (United Kingdom)
I bought this camera as a present for my husband, both of us being point and press kind of photographers!!! We took the camera on holiday and it hasn't disappointed. The pictures have turned out well and the camera was very easy to use. It also has the advantage that we could use the memory card from our old camera which saved a few £.

Would def recommend this camera to others.
