Good value entry level camera

Forster on Jul 31, 2009 (London, England)I was looking for a camera that would be practical for work where I need to take stills and movie, inside and out of moving targets (animals), but that was small and cheap. This camera copes very well outside in ambient British light (i.e. the grey weather we're having lately) but does blur without the flash indoors. Movie has sound but can't zoom once rolling, and is of good quality. The only criticism is that this camera consumes batteries at a high rate - it fails after about an hour of use. The batteries read as "good" on various battery checkers but the camera won't even turn on unless they are pretty much brand new. With rechargables it remains economic, but if rechargables aren't an option take care with battery costs.
