A Lot in a Box
At first I couldn't quite work out what the buttons were all for, but once I ploughed into the manual, it all began to make sense. The DAB radio is up to normal Roberts standards, meaning you find it difficult to better, and the CD player is also excellent. If I had to make a small criticism it would be about the absence of tone (bass and treble) controls.
A compact unit that gives out far more than you initially expect. I especially like the clock face, a good size that can be read without needing to resort to my glasses. It really is amazing what it can do, so long as you read the many paged manual (where my glasses are essential).
The fact that it also plays MP3 files that have been copied onto a CD and has FM radio if needed, is a terrific bonus - in fact the MP3 player is almost worth the money in itself.
Even without the tone controls, I still give this 5 stars as the sound that comes from this small(ish) unit is quite a pleasant surprise. All in all, an excellent clock/radio that plays CDs perfectly and had a top quality DAB radio.

Think before you buy
This looks like a nice little unit and it so far has 2 '5 star' reviews. Great! However it has two big problems which make it not so great:
I have other DAB radios in the other house and reception is fairly good - but they have telescopic aerials. The Roberts Sound 37 comes with a foot of thin wire for an aerial - and to be blunt it is rubbish. For £100 I think they could have given a little more thought to areas in which reception is not perfect.
Secondly I bought the unit for my mum because it has a bookmark function. Her sight is no longer so good and the talking book club uses MP3 on disc for the books - so that function enables you to mark your place. Great. But now look at the controls - they are miniscule! So if the bookmark function was included with the elderly in mind they have made a huge design blunder with such tiny controls and writing.
So.. 2 stars. And I think that is being generous!

Roberts DAB CD CLOCK RADIO
I bought this as a birthday present for my wife and she was very pleased with the DAB quality. In fact, I don't think a day has passed since that she has not used it.
Great product - good price

First class
The front cover states "please read the manual before use"; of course I was pushed for time, do that later, but it was all intuitive and I am pleased with the result.

not very a pretty product
Just sent mine back - I am sure it works very nicely but those tiny tiny little buttons on the front make the product look cheap and nasty
