This is one of the cheapest digital cameras on the market at the moment. It runs on normal AA batteries and comes with a 32 Mb memory card. It has basic functions, including video. It was included in the list of Which? Best Buys for digital cameras.

We purchased it as a spare, next to our digital SLR. It is not designed for award winning photography, but for instant snap shots. It does what is says on the tin. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the images and of the video function.

The only downside is that it is quite bulky and although it will fit into a jeans pocket, this would not be too comfortable. Fits perfectly into a decent sized handbag though.

This is my very first digital camera. My husband has one, but very complicated to use, although he can understand it, I can't! So, I wanted one that was simple to use and took great photos. Canon PowerShot A470 was my choice. It is very easy to use, I am aged 70 and no problems with acessing the menu. The photos I have taken so far have been clear and of natural colour. The size is just right, I don't really want to carry it around in my pocket, that seems too risky to me, but it will fit in a handbag OK. All said and done, a jolly good camera for me.

for the price, this is a very good camera, I am more than happy with the quality of pictures etc, it does everything needed in a digital camera.

I received this camera at the weekend and am thrilled with it. Good size display, & good results. Particularly like the weight - no problem with "camera shake". Easy to use, review and delete. Perfect for the stuff I take!

Easy to use camera, excellent for the techno phobes of the world. Ideal present for my mum's 1st digital camera
