Excellent dvd recorder

(5 out of 5) by Mrs. Pamela Crompton on Feb 13, 2009 (UK)
This is an excellent dvd recorder which is very easy to use and the instructions are simple to understand. There is a slight fan noise but it does not detract from the programme being watched as it can only be heard
when recording with the tv off.
Value for money and would have the same again if I needed it.

Good Value

Really pleased with this dvd recorder. Easy to use, looks good and great quality. I've seen the same product in supermarkets which costs between £10-30 more. Would recommend.

EASY TO SET UP, FREEVIEW CHANNEL SCANING IS VERY GOOD, RECORDED QUALITY IS AS GOOD AS DVD YOU BUY. ONLY BAD POINT IS THAT THERE IS NO SOUND OR VIDIO INPUTS ON REAR OTHER THAN ONE SCART

Took a chance

(1 out of 5) by John S. Heywood on Nov 2, 2009
This is the first item that I have purcheased that was descibed as " used-good as new".

The recorder arrived and, though the packaging was scuffed and dirty, the unit was unmarked and in good condition.

I set the recorder up and tuned it according to the instructions but, though I could recieve analogue channels, and I could get the information bars for digitalchannels, I could not get a digital picture. I decide to take a chance and had an engineer look at it to ensure that I had connected and tuned it correctly and that I had good signal strength.
He diagnosed that the digital tuner in the unit was faulty. I returned the faulty recorder and though I revieved a full refund, including P & P, it cost me £25 to prove it was a 'duffer'.

I am wary about ordering refurbished electrical itema in future!
