I needed a discreet small camera for everyday and candid use. Normally I use a Canon 400D. I am very pleased with the performance and results of this camera. It took a while to become familiar with all the controls and features. But now I have, it's a great performer and I carry it with me every day. It produces excellent prints with good colour saturation. I set it to 7M pixels. there is also plenty of versatility on the flash too. I especially like the slide show feature. Just plug it into the TV and off you go it will even provide music if you wish (a little basic but it helps with the mood) and for less than £100 it's a winner with me.

Excellent camera, easy to use and superb picture quality. However, be aware that the replay volume on the video is very low, almost inaudible whether being replayed on the camera or PC. I thought the camera was faulty and obtained a replacement from Amazon, but the replacement was the same. Spoke to Samsung and confirmed that I had all the correct settings for volume etc and they couldn't understand why the problem. Searched extensively online and finally found a review on a US site which stated the same problem, so it's inherent in the camera. So if the video is a major element of your purchase decision, you may be disappointed, although the video picture quality is very good.

Camera takes good pictures mainly - but the controls are extremely tiny and fiddly, you have to print the instruction book out yourself and there are reams of pages and it is very complicated. I also found it nigh on impossible to remove the memory card - in the end I had to pull it out with a pair of tweezers and damaged it. My sister purchased a Fuji finepix for similar cost and it is much nicer to use.

I have had this camera for over a year now and the whole time it has been fantastic. And the amount of times I have dropped it i am surprised! The picture quality is good - It has frozen on me once or twice but i just reset it by taking out the battery.

As someone else said the video volume is low but the quality is good. I have had a few people compliment the clarity when uploaded on facebook!

Fantastic camera, great value

I bought this camera for about 100 pounds from greece and i could not still believe how a cheap camera like this can take great pictures in every situation . The video is also good . When by fault felt some water on it it continued to work! I'd recommend this if you want a good camera in a cheap prise
