So Helpful
What a Combo this is. Setup was easy for me and it really does increase productivity.
The keyboard, first, which is a good keyboard, it has loads of programmable buttons to play with which is good when you have a set application or 2 to open when you log onto Windows. The LCD screen is a nice feature too for when you want to know how long the song is you are listening to, and it also has temperature, key counter etc. It is designed for Vista (The keyboard is specifically, I have heard the mouse will work with OS X in which case buy the mouse individually).
The mouse has about 8/9 buttons on which can be set to do alot of useful tasks such as backwards and forwards, copy and paste etc. and the scroll wheel on the side can be used for Flip 3D which is useful.
The star of the show though really is the scroll wheel, which can be used for normal speed scrolling or hyper scrolling which is a real treat when theres alot of pages to get through.
However, if you're in the market for a new mouse buy this MX mouse it really is a good mouse, but not a good gaming mouse.
If you're in the market for a new keyboard though, it is a good keyboard but I'm sure theres better out there.

Rubber flaking of mouse
I received this set from my girlfriend last July 2008. It has not had heavy use as I do most of my work on my laptop. However, I discovered that the rubber was flaking of the mouse. I found this unacceptable from the little use the mouse has had. I tried to contact logictech support but the numbers on their website is out of date and I subsequently got the number from a forum. Logitech has advised me to contact amazon for exchange. On the amazon site, the 30 days policy is clear so I have had to email amazon and am currently awaiting reply. I am very dissapointed with the poor quality of the product consdering the initial cost of £100 and now the hassle of jumping so many hoops to get the item exchanged!

Good - but not that good
I purchased this keyboard/mouse combo recently to replace my MX5000 keyboard on which I cracked the LCD screen (oops!!). Having used the MX5000 combo for ages I eagerly anticipated a good upgrade with additional or better features.
The mouse is good and comfortable in use with an excellent shape and the control buttons are well placed. The one drawback, it is easy to misplace the mouse in its charging cradle so it appears locked in but is not making contact with the charging points. Check that the charge lights are actually lighting incrementally.
The keyboard is as you'd expect from Logitech - a good solid full sized keyboard with quiet and responsive keys. No better or worse than other Logitech keyboards. However the function buttons and hot keys do provide easy navigation shortcuts once you are either used to them or program them accordingly (very easy using the provided software). The LCD display is similar to the previous model MX5000 and if anything is a poorer display of white on black rather than black on white. This is one of the major reasons for four stars, by now Logitech really should be coming up with a colour screen on such a highly priced combo keyboard. It would really add to the quality and appearance of the item. Also they have removed the on/off key that was present on the MX5000 underside. This means the keyboard is constantly on although I presume in a dormant mode and taking little power from the batteries when not in use.
The bluetooth feature is its major benefit allowing freedom of use and the ability to pair other devices to your computer through the hub. Expensive way of doing it if that was the only reason!!
All in all the mouse is excellent, but the keyboard is not outstanding and that was what I was expecting given the quality of the previous MX5000 model.

Beware of this combo.
I received my MX5500 Revolution yesterday and have tried to get the thing to work properly ever since.
The setpoint software that arrives with the package does not work. I spent a good hour on the phone with the techies from Logitech, tried a few things to correct the fault and nothing helped.
Then I was informed that it is a known problem and they are working to fix it.
Also the mouse works all right for a while and then becomes very sluggish and jittery, every time I boot up my computer I have to change the mouse settings using the Windows Vista Control Panel.
Do not buy this lump of plastic.
I gave it 2 stars because it is a pretty lump of plastic.

Great look, poor design.
Great looking keyboard & mouse, really looks the part!
But... small function keys, high 'humped' keyboard, lack of positive action on the keys on fast usage, annoying dynamic zoom clicking (thankfully can be switched off), flaking rubber coating on the mouse - a most vile idea, Logitech!, lets this combo down. Also the keyboard needs 4 AA batteries!
On the positive side, the mouse functions very well with fairly accurate tracking.
