Outer cable sheared off after one week

The outer cable at the plug end completely broke exposing the three innner wires and all this after only one week and little use. I should send it back but have adapted one end from the old unit and one end from the new unit and am using this rather than the hassle of sending it back. I purchased this laptop charger after the wire in the last one snapped at the socket end that goes into the computer. Hopefully this one will last longer as the cable is much thicker. It works perfectly! :o)

I bought this laptop adapter after doing lots of googling. This price of this product was cheapest on the net.
Unfortunately the adapter didnt even last for couple of days. The power supply was stopped altogether.
I gave a mail to the seller and he responded immediately and sent a new one. Its woking now.
