Quality
(5 out of 5) by Highlander on Jun 8, 2008 (Madrid)I decided on this one after reading some slightly negative reviews of other products. Not wishing to buy an item and immediately have to modify it, I took the plunge and splashed on the Proporta.
Have had it for a few days now, and it really is a quality case. Quite stylish yet understated. Easy to flip open and make calls. The screen is protected by a hard metal plate inside the leather. You could definitely drop your phone a lot with this case and it would be completed protected.
To to summarise, if you are prepared to pay the extra for the quality, I'd go for this one.

Poor design

Brewster on Jun 10, 2009 (Dorchester, UK)I have had the Proporta case for less than 6 months during which time the retaining lugs have begun to tear the leather on the flap when the cover is closed. This seems to be due to poor design. The lugs are solid metal with a thin fabric covering. Thumbs access the phone around the area of the lugs and the covering quickly wears through leaving exposed metal that can rip the case fabric. The case seemed great to start with but having seen my wife's Noreve case I can confirm that the latter is far superior both in design and materials. This avoids the use of lugs by using rails that don't encroach on the keys and consequently avoids wear problems.

Very disappointing
(1 out of 5) by Jimbo Sheaf on May 30, 2009 (London, England)I found the phone fell off the belt clip several times within a day. the clip design seems good at first with a lock action and release button, but the phone just pops right off the clip very easily.
The flap of the case often pressed a phone button and wasted battery power.
The phone is already bulky and the case makes it far too big to carry in a pocket.
