DVD player jumped from the first set up, Daewoo weren't interested and told me to sort it out with Amazon when I insisted they honour the terms of their guarantee and send someone to fix it they eventually agreed. An engineer visited and said he needed to order a part. We heard nothing, eventually after several phone calls to the engineer they eventually returned three weeks later, spent five minutes before declaring that it was impossible to determine the problem and they would inform Daewoo we required a new tv. Again we heard nothing and could no longer reach the company with the repair contract, after contacting Daweoo and pointing out that the guarantee offered a replacement tv the representative denied this and told me to sort it out with Amazon.
Amazon were great and a total contrast and offered a full refund immediately.

Poor sound and awful remote.
Like previous reviewers I found the remote and the way that the DVD source is selected very poorly thought out. I suppose that for younger users who are more used to menus it is easily managed, but when the TV was bought as a present for an elderly relative I found it very difficult to explain (and demonstrate) how to use it. Nothing is intuitive. Once it was up and running we found that the sound quality was very very tinny. No doubt as a result of using some of the smallest speakers I've seen in a TV for years. As a second TV for, say,a teenagers bedroom I suppose it would be OK but otherwise I'd recommend looking for something else.

Overall very good
On the whole this is a very good TV. Lots of options for playing AVI files: USB, CARD and DVD. When watching a DVD it will resume at the last point viewed, but when watching from USB or CARD this is not possible.
The remote is quite confusing and complicated to work. It is designed with different sections for TV or DVD etc, but is takes some time to get used to.

Daewoo DSL22V1WCD
Good multifunctional TV. Quality of sound and picture is average. Remote control is poorly designed. Digital tuning of channels is suboptimal compared to other TVs. Power cord comes in two parts (lead + adaptor) so difficult to conceal if you are considering mounting this TV on a wall.

Great Product
Bought this in March for the bedroom and it really has not disappointed at all. Not the best picture in the world, but still very good, and you do have to scroll through a menu to change input DVD to DTV etc, but for the money it really does do everything it says on the tin and I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
