Daewoo DSL19V1WCD

(5 out of 5) by R. Mckenna on Dec 21, 2007 (Bristol, UK)
Purchased as a replacement to an ageing 14" CRT TV in the bedroom and have to say this is an excellent spec TV compared to others in the same price range. Great reception and easy set up on Freeview, analogue channels are also a breeze to set up. DVD player plus its USB and memory card slot compltes an excellent package that also looks and sounds good. The only complaint is that the remote is a little small and at first not greatly intuitive to use but once you get use to it then its not a problem.
UPDATE 10th March 2008
After owning the TV for 3 months it still seems OK however a few niggles are : 1.) Remote control buttons are slow to respond especially when changing channels. 2.) When on Digital TV, the set emits a piercing high pitched beep for about 2 seconds when switching on. 3.)Picture on screen is prone to a lot of "ghosting" which I guess is just a trait of the slower response times of this LCD. 4.) Yes as reported elsewhere volume is quite loud on its lowest setting but not too much of a problem for us.

Daewoo 19" LCD TV

(4 out of 5) by Mr. S. Fraser on Dec 17, 2007
I decided to replace my existing Daewoo TV in my bedroom with this version as it had a built in DVD and freeview (the Mrs was complaining about to many cables and boxes) I ordered it through Amazon and it was delivered promptly through their free delivery service 3 days later. Overall, I am quiet pleased with the TV, it looks good, it was easy to set up the freeview channels, the picture is fine and the DVD player works great. For the price you can't really go wrong. My only complaint is that when watching the freeview channels at the lowest possible volume (1) it's still quite loud, however, watching DVD's the volume on 1 seems a lot lower. Overall a good purchase and would recommend

Looks Good!

(4 out of 5) by Andy MC on Dec 20, 2007 (London, UK)
OK Brought this for my parents, wanted one tv for the bedroom and not loads of boxes for freeview and DVD players.

First thing I noticed was that it looks a lot nicer that the pictures on the web, deep black coloured plastic and feels very well made, picture quality is good and has every connection you would require pc, scart etc.

Remote control menu system takes a while to get used to but is generaly ok, had no problems with freeview reception. USB and SD card readers are an added bonus to the built in DVD. It also HD ready as well!

Overall very pleased.

4 stars - basically very good, a few flaws

(4 out of 5) by J. Ritson on Feb 14, 2008 (London, UK)
I bought this TV for our bedroom and like it a lot. The TV looks fantastic and is a great size. Good piture quality, DVD works fine, freeview (with set top digital aerial) works pretty well. Only 2 main complaints are; the remote is bizarrely layed out, but you get a bit more used to it with time, and on TV mode the lowest volume level above mute is too loud for a bedroom. This is not an issue for DVDs though. Aside from that I'm very happy.
