great product and so easy to set up

(5 out of 5) by jay dee on Sep 29, 2008 (lancashire)
This arrived within 3 days and I had it working within half an hour, the controls on the remote are a little close together, but you soon get used to where the main controls are. Some great functions although the picture within picture [pip] is a bit small on my screen- 19 inch, 40 hours recording is plenty for me as I tend to watch and then delete. Superb on screen information, the programme guide is simplicity itself. a wonderful purchase, very pleased

Simple, Effective & Great Quality

(5 out of 5) by M. Lloyd on Dec 14, 2008
I've had this device for a year now and have been delighted by its performance. It does everything I expected it to do quickly and easily with great results.

I've had no issues during the year and the product far out performs higher profile brands owned by friends and family.

Low operating noise, great recording quality - can't tell the difference from recorder Vs live TV and so easy to use even my dad can use it!

how good is it

(4 out of 5) by M. Hunter on Nov 18, 2008 (scotland)
I have now had this since june. Had a problem with the machine freezing and having to reboot{switch off and on} which worsened over time, daewoo engineer called out and changed capacitor , also realised I needed new ariel when this was done things improved dramatically, but still has problem of freezing but very much less than before and liveable with , although now don't have to switch off, pvr just initialises HD and starts up. The 9502tfp is a good machine easy to do individual record, series record and time shift, all have been used. recomend that you keep HD content on the low side and delete timers{can cause freezing}. All in all I'm pleased with this especially at the price, and you get used to the red colour scheme on the info pages.

Review of Digibox

(2 out of 5) by Mr. P. J. Denham on Jan 24, 2009 (Scunthorpe)
Bought as a Christmas present for parents-in-law. They managed very easily with the controls and got it working very quickly. However, we had some problems with it freezing and re-starting and it developed a buzzing noise, even when it was switched off. The tv guide and menu functions are all in red, which my father-in-law did find difficult to see as he's colour blind. Have had to take this back for a refund as it looked like we must have got a faulty one.

Does what it says on the box

(4 out of 5) by Anthony Chriscoli on Feb 25, 2009
This does what it says on the box.
Very easy to set up
Very easy to use
Picture quality is fine
Records programmes and Info and subtitles etc.
Be aware it DOES NOT have a DVD player/writer included and that is a shame as that is a feature of a lot of these boxes, so that you can burn recorded programmes to CD and vice/versa.
Also means I need to have a DVD player as a separate box and separately wired up, which makes the area untidy.
For the price of this box I could have bought a box with twice the GB and with a DVD writer, I just never looked around enough or examined the spec of this box enough.
If you want a simple Hard disk recorder with Freeview then this is fine, but spend a little more and get 160GB and DVD writer would be my recommendation.
