A simple job

I bought this as a replacement and it was easier to install than I imagined. It worked straight out of the box with both windows xp and Ubuntu linux. No fiddling about with drivers at all . It continues to work well.

Dogs Doobies

Replaced a Lite-On DVDRW, that had stopped working after installing SP2 for windows XP. Took about 5 minutes to fit and it worked straight away. YEP it's the Dogs Doobies.

Despite repeated requeste from Amazon, no instalation CD was supplied for the writer. Sony, the manufacturer, did not recognise the part no, so could not download drivers either. Both Amazon and Sony Help centre useless!

Simple to fit - Works fine

Simple to fit as replacement of similar CD_RW in 5 yr old PC. Remember to make the correct jumper settings. Picked up straight off by XP SP3. Works fine.
