Value for money
It does excatly what it says on the label....
This printer will not win any design awards, and it's not the quietest for sure, but it's simple to use, there are single touch buttons for all the main functions , it's cheap, it prints, it scans and it copies.
You want more? How about a big name like Canon? I dont think you can ask for much more at this price?

Review the product, not your own defects.
Cartridges inserted in less than 5 seconds, obviously the time spent reading the instructions was worthwhile.
Prints, scans, is cheap as chips and worth what I paid for it.

Buyer beware...!
Having owned a Canon MP140 for around 12 months now, I am pretty disappointed. Yes, it prints, scans and copies with good quality BUT it eats it's way through ink catridges like they are going out of fashion, despite fairly low-duty use. Of all the inkjet printers I own I have never had one with such a drink problem.
On-line stores suggested the PG-50 and PG-51 high capacity ink catridges work with the MP140 but beware because they do not...! They fit perfectly and the printer starts and they will even work in the engineering mode BUT because Canon programmed the printer to deliberately not use these cartridges, they don't work. Nice one Canon, complete waste of £75 worth of cartidges that will go straight in the bin with the MP140 itself. Not about to step out and give Canon any more money. I'd rather shell out on a new printer. Buyer beware...

Best buy multi-use printer
Cheap and cheerful, it prints, scans and makes copies. Cartridges not at all tricky to insert (or replace), quick start-up guide very helpful.
Absolutely nothing against it for the price, however got it for much less money from a competitor - sorry Amazon!

Great printer!
I bought this printer after my Epson photo 900 decided it wasn't going to print colour anymore.
It's a great little printer (well it's actually quite big), it scans and prints very quickly in comparison to the old 900. There are a number of options for the quality of the scanning which effect the speed, e.g. black and white document, colour document, photo, magazine etc. There is a piece of software that comes with it for text recognition so you can edit the text in the document you scan with Microsoft Word for example.
The only downside is you can't get cheap compatible ink cartridges, the cheapest I can find are around £7 a pop, which isn't too bad. Hopefully this printer will have as good economy as I'm expecting it to.
4 stars due to the price of ink (oh and by the way the cartridges go in easily)otherwise it would be 5!
