Worth Paying For
I nearly went with a Technika 37" widescreen television for a similar price to this, and indeed had I not had some problems with my card at the time I would have purchased.
Looking back I am very glad I could not get it, for although this Sony Bravia is smaller (all be-it a more than satisfactory 32"), it surpasses the Technika in all other areas.
Once delivered it was relatively easy to set up and get going. It automatically scans for channels and leaves you little work to do.
The picture is good quality, I had heard HD ready televisions have slightly poorer picture when showing non HD channels than older model televisions but I really could not tell. When playing a blu-ray movie the picture quality was absolutely fantastic.
The sound is superb and at times it sounds like you have 5 speakers arranged around the room when in fact there are just two. It is crystal clear and you can make out things far better than most televisions which really adds to movie and television watching.
It has plenty of connection ports for various devices which is handy. At one point I had a DVD player, cable television, Playstation 2, Playstation 3 and a laptop computer all connected up to it at once with no problems.
It is also of a very sleek attractive design and is light enough for most adults to carry with little problems, a big difference on my old television which I moved out of the way to place my new tv in its old spot. I pride myself on being quite strong yet struggled with the huge old TV, the new one was so easy to move into place.
Overall a great buy. It is costly but it is Sony so you know it will last a long time and though they have some more expensive Bravia TV's on the market this will more than please most customers.

Great tv!
Plumped for sony bravia mainly because of the reviews on here saying how easy it was to set up- and boy they weren't joking...
Lifted it out of the box by myself...plugged it in...took me through set up in 5 mins and I was done.
Great picture- cartoons on 'vivid' nearly make your eyes water! Tip- try changing to 'cinema' view when watching tv films- makes a real difference and looks nearly as good as DVD's.
Sound quality stunning- still occasionally looking round the room to see where that noise is coming from, doh!
And finally really easy to turn off rather than leave on standby- and can have it on a power saving mode using less electric when watching without hardly any difference to the picture at all- eco friendly as it can be!
Can't say a single bad word about this tv- just go for it!

Brilliant TV
Bought one of these from Amazon when my old CRT TV packed up. Should have bought one ages ago. It was so easy to set up. Connectivity is brilliant. Picture is sharp and it has an amazingly large viewing angle. A very good product at a very good price.

great value for money
I researched various makes of lcd televisions and opted for this Sony model. I have not been disappointed with my choice - incredibly easy to set up and use - screws to attach the stand a bit short, found a magnetic screwdriver helpful for this - picture and sound excellent - the dark grey casing looks good, better than the black that seems to dominate the market just now - I would recommend this tv set.
