Bargain Bravia

(5 out of 5) by M. Sharrock on Dec 8, 2007 (Lancs UK)
Heard Makro had an offer on Sony Bravia, went down wanting a D3000 (best online price 880), they had U3000 at 580 inc vat. I did'nt know anything about them but took the risk and bought one. WOW!! glad I did, fantastic clear picture through the standard format built in digital freeview. Dead easy setting up, completly sorted within half hour of taking it out the box. Plus, I saved myself 300 quid. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent value, great picture!!

(5 out of 5) by Kulraj Singh Burmy on Dec 6, 2007 (Glasgow, Scotland.)
i bought this tv to put on the wall in my bedroom for playing games and watching tv.

the picture quality is excellent and makro were selling this for £499 plus VAT so it came to £586 which is a lot cheaper than most of the 40" flatscreen LCD tvs on the market.

the sound quality is brilliant too. with this tv you get a lot of quality for your money, its absolutely excellent.

Sony KDL-40U3000

(5 out of 5) by Neil Chambers on Nov 8, 2007
Very easy to set up and picture looks great. Bought mine from Macro's for just £586 so look out for deals. Has everything you can want and more. Couldn't justify paying for the 1080 Hd screen when picture quality looks so similar to this tv's ratio. Happy hunting.

GREAT TV - GREAT PRICE

(5 out of 5) by N. Artingstall on May 15, 2008 (paignton)
bought mine via a supermarket offer - and to my eye this has a beautiful picture with wonderful colours so it shouldn't disappoint - indeed given the size it even makes you feel like your at the cinema when watching DVDs. Importantly the sound is great as well - a friend has a year old 37 inch Toshiba but this just feels so much bigger and higher quality. The sound is significantly better which really enhances the viewing - not something i had fully considered before purchasing to be honest. The epg is easy to use, the stand is solid and the remote has a nice quality feel. The kids absolutely love it as well. Sure you can spend more on a higher quality or even larger TV but for a sony of this size, it is fully deserving of the full five stars. Looks gorgeous in our living room anyway.
