Dissapointing motion handling

(2 out of 5) by TechyNerd on Nov 9, 2008 (London, UK)
Even though there are many strong points with this TV, motion handling is truly disappointing in a kit at this level.

Especially faces in dark backgrounds leave a nasty smear which is utterly painful to look at.

If you are tolerant for such a shortcoming, you can be truly happy with this TV, for that any other point than motion handling I would give this TV 5, but overall I don't believe it deserves such high appraisals given by previous reviewers.

awsome piece of kit. picture excellent even without HD. easy set up and all componants easy to use. sound excellent thro external amp and connected by HDMI cable to enhanse quality

only prob is that we had to upgrade DVD recorder due to reduced quality! now have Sony DVD recorder an the systems work perfectly together.

Best Telly EVER!

(5 out of 5) by Madaliee on Feb 13, 2009 (Cheshire, UK)
It took me about a month to decide which telly to go for. If you're looking for a cheaper set I'd recommend the LG it's got a good picture for the price. But if you want superior quality then it's got to be a BRAVIA. It just stands out way above the rest. The rich colour is what I love and the fact that unlike a lot of other lcd tv's it doesn't pixellate. In FULL HD it really shows what it's made for. I have mine synched up to the sony stand and together they're amazing for a small flat. The 52" is huge though and it took a while to get used to, go for a 42" for a small room, it's still huge. Amazon packaged the set lovely and I got it very quickly. When I purchased this for £1800 it was selling for £2300 in currys so goes to show what a bargain it was. There's a newer model out but if you want a bravia and don't want to take out a second mortgage go for this one, you're friends will be so jealous!

Excellent buy

(5 out of 5) by Champak on Nov 12, 2008 (Leeds, UK)
I am no techno geek but being a customer, I would say, this TV surpasses all expectations, so far so good, its been 3 months of heavenly viewing, I combined it with Sky HD plus and Samsung 7.1 Channel blu ray home theatre system, It has changed the way I watch TV now. Well, only problem is weekends being so busy with friends and family clamouring around and bring their own DVDs, but what the heck, It is all worth it.
