Awesome

Simpy put this watch is phenomenal.

Solar power - no battery to change or winding required.

Wave ceptor - the watch corrects itself overnight by receiving a radio signal from your nearest transmitter. Every time you look at your watch you know you are looking at the CORRECT time, down to 1000/sec.

Auto date and time adjustment means that you never have to worry about seasonal time adjustments or remembering how many days in a leap year. Every time you wake up this watch is showing the right time, full stop.

It's a G-Shock so it will stand up to some punishment, I've had mine for over three years and it's still going strong. I am a firefighter and father of twins, I'm not sure whether the job or the kids have given this watch the harder time but it has stood the test. I've broken the strap three times at work and simply replaced a pin each time.

Time memo is usefull, press a button to record the current time. World time in all sorts of exotic locals, although I rarely use this. Five alarms, including a snooze function. You can read the time, date and day from the face at a glance. If you are a shift worker you often need to know what day it is, believe me.

In fact the only thing that is missing, in my opinion, is a countdown timer. Other models have this but don't seem to display both the day and date on the screen.

This watch is fantastic, can't recommend it highly enough.

Great value for money

(5 out of 5) by G Watson on Mar 18, 2008 (Cheshunt, Herts)
The watch only arrived today so I'm still getting to grips with it.

But to start with the bracelet required 4 links taking out which I was unable to do myself but a trip to a local jeweller soon resolved that problem for a remarkably cheap £2! So having read a number of reviews on other watches from those unhappy and worried about bracelet adjustment - don't panic!

As I own another Wave Ceptor watch I'm already sold on and very impressed with the technology and timekeeping accuracy, but this version also gives me the rugged sturdiness of the G Shock range with the added benefit of the solar power function and the power saving shut down function.

you really can't fault the watch and the endless list of functions .
