Amazing - Does what it says on the tin.
We bought this case (and camera) for a trip to the Maldives. This is a superb product for a beach holiday. Photos on land and underwater are crystal clear. The 860 IS has a big clear screen which is perfect for underwater photography when using this case. We had no problems diving down to approx 5 meters using this camera and case when snorkeling. I wouldn't hesitate to take this on a 30 meter scuba dive.
We actually kept the camera in the waterproof case for the entire two week holiday. You can't tell that the camera is in the case when you look at photos taken on land. The pictures are perfect and the camera is protected from the sand and water for the entire holiday.
NOTE: If you plan to use this casing to go scuba diving then you should consider the optional weights. These screw into the bottom of the casing and prevent the camera from floating to the surface - a bonus when you're 30M underwater ! When you're snorkeling it's comforting to know that the camera will float in this casing !

Superb housing!
This housing is very good! It is labelled as being good for 40 metres but, on dives to the Zenobia wreck off Cyprus this summer, I occasionally reached the seabed at 41-42 metres and it performed perfectly. I wouldn't recommend exceeding the depth limit regularly I'm just pointing out that it is *definitely* good for the stated depth limit of 40m. All images were perfectly clear and the buttons are spaced far enough apart to be able to select the correct ones while wearing 5mm gloves when diving in colder waters.
A very good housing from Canon.
