so good I bought the company.. well almost.

Reid on Dec 14, 2007 (Solihull)I bought this camera because it looked to be the best specification for the price and I had previous experience of the quality of Olympus products. I am pleased to say I wasn't dissapointed. The camera is very solid, well made and doesn't have that "too light" and "tinny feel" you get from some other manufacturers.
And then I switched it on and it absolutely blew me away. I also own an Olympus Camedia c4060 which cost a small fortune when I bought it a few years back which has millions of functions and options to provide fantastic photo quality. This has been used for diving underwater, and survived several floods, and is still going. The c4060 doesn't even touch this FE300 for quality of picture, fantastic zoom, and when I manipulate the photographs using the Olympus software the detail provided is immense. I zoom, then zoom again and combined with the anti shake mechanism this camera just amazes every time. No joke you can zoom in on a match head across a 15 foot room and still get the detail. I love this camera it's compact, it goes everywhere with me, the only problem I now have is that I need a new hard drive on my PC to store all of the additional photographs I take and keep.
So in summary, it's incredibly easy to use, takes beautiful photographs with automated functions, and does have some ability to tune the photography if required which enhances the experience. It's probably not going to set a pro photographers pants on fire but it delivers pictures that are near professional quality without the hassle and you know it's probably the best thing I have ever bought for under £200.00.

Brilliant little camera
