High Quality photo Printer
I bought this printer for my sister in law's 80th birthday . She does not like using her computer software for printing her digital photos . It is also not very convenient to take the card to the shops for printing . She is absolutely delighted with this printer . It was very easy to set up , works perfectly and produces very high quality prints in about 90 seconds . If you have a digital camera, this is all you will ever need to produce excellent prints of your favorite shots . I would highly recommend this printer which is well worth the money ! .

Buy extra paper and ink!!!!
I bought this as a Christmas present for my Mum who has a digital camera but no computer or printer. The quality of the prints is really good and the speed is quicker than stated in the instructions. Only a couple of things I wasn't happy with. Firstly it comes with only three pieces of photo paper (one of which has to be used to check alignment) and an ink cartridge that will only print 10 pictures, all of which seems a bit stingy and I wish I'd bought extra supplies. The other thing is that the detailed instructions are on a disc which isn't a lot of help when you've bought it because you don't have a computer.
All in all a lovely little printer that I would recommend but buy extra supplies from the beginning!

Good quality photo's and simple to use
I owned my first Photosmart printer a few years ago but whilst I thought it was excellent, once it got damaged I decided to replace it with a printer that produced photo's when connected to my PC. Big mistake. Not only were the photo's produced of a much poorer quality, I also found it to be a palaver to print the photo's. Connecting up the printer to the PC each time turned into a bit of a bind, particularly in a restricted space.
Realising my error I have now bought a Photosmart A526, and I'm happy again. As with my previous Photosmart the quality of the photo's produced is excellent. Okay, it is rather slow - it takes over a minute to produce each picture - but that is a minor drawback. The thing I like best about it is its easiness to use. I can take a picture, and after connecting my camera to the printer, can produce a high quality photo within a couple of minutes. I also like the idea that I can take the printer to a family get together and be able to produce photo's there and then, if required.
My only complaint - a very minor one at that - is that it's pale blue colour is a bit bland and insipid. It resembles an old bakelite radio from the 50's; a bolder colour would make it a much sexier looking machine.

great little printer
I bought this printer for my dad who knows nothing about 'gadgets' and hes over the moon with it ! It produces excellent prints, the colours are bright and vivid and the prints are dry to the touch immediately. The instruction leaflet is easy to use and all in all this is a excellent printer for an excellent price ! Id recommend to anyone !!

Handy little piece of equipment
The HP photosmart is easy to set up and use. I bought it for a non-techno friend and she easily got to grips with it. I agree with the reviewer who said they are stingy with the paper supplied - so if you decide to get one - order more paper from the start. Otherwise you can't do more than set it up and print off a couple of trial photos.
