Brilliant! Arrived within 3 days, set up with no trouble, software loaded on Vista perfectly. Borderless prints are stunning, disc printing and manual duplex work fine and draft prints are very fast and usable. I am very impressed.

Poor Build Quality

Slow because it takes an age to power up, noisy (self-explanatory) and expensive to run, uses six ink cartridges. Unfortunately this printer is built down to a price rather than up to a standard. Beware!

GOOD PRINTER
(5 out of 5) by Mr. S. J. Clarke on Feb 24, 2009I bought this R285 to replace an Epson R220 which I ran into the ground due to the amount of use I gave it, even having reset the use counter twice.
Time for a Replacement, the R285 works extremly well very good quality photos, and the disc print a lot better than my last machine, very good buy, I certainly recomend it.

(5 out of 5) by Christina Crosbie on Feb 22, 2009 (Scotland)This is an excellent printer producing consistantly fiirst class black and white and colour documents at an fairlyfast rate.It isworth paying extra for original inks as the colours produced are truer than compatible inks.

better than my Epson R360

Edwards on Feb 5, 2009 (uk)my experience with this product is positive , unlike some reviews i have found no problems with printouts ( no band lines) they have had excellent sharpness & color saturation & this is using compatible inks from the moment the originals ran out . apart from the tiniest of niggles over tray change i found this to be better than my previous R360 printer .
