Most Helpful First | Newest First | + ShareIf you want an alarm clock radio, don't buy this one!
The radio alarm comes on at volume 10 and it can't be adjusted. If you're hard of hearing or a heavy sleeper it's perfect for you otherwise don't buy it. If you're just after a lovely looking and sounding radio without the radio alarm function, this is the one for you. You've been warned!
Getting There...
Just received mine. It found 18 stations initially and none were the BBC ones. Had a fiddle with the aerial position and rescanned and it found them but right now the aerial's positioned to poke me in the eye when I get out of bed so I can get R5L but I'll persist...
Tested the alarm with the buzzer and that's great-it gets louder till you hit Snooze !! A good idea.
As others have said the presets are a nuisance but once I checked here it was a breeze. Find your station, hit Preset and arrow to the one you want it on and hit Preset again and HOLD it till confirmation pops up. Works the same on DAB and FM.
The dimming setting is a misdescription as it's basically on or off. I read here it's bright at night but that won't bother me as I sleep facing away from the clock anyway (I hope) !!
Adding a PS a few days later. It stopped working the same day. The power pack is the problem so I need to get another. Thankfully they're a reasonable price and better that than return it to Germany where I got it. A shame as the radio itself is super.
I managed to get all the stations I wanted too with the aerial in a place that won't blind me now as well.

Nice sounding DAB, but..........
This radio has an excellent sound especially compared to my last one, can't even remember what it was it was that rubbish, and expensive to boot.
Now the but, and it's only a little but, how on earth do you program the presets. Both myself and a friend, who I recommended this radio to, can't work it out!! Any pointers will be much appreciated.

a great little all rounder
this is a really lovely product selling at a great price. first off, the retro faux leather look is very stylish and fits in easily in every type of decor
the dab works beautifully and so does the fm without any need for an additional antenna. as expected there are presets and the usual tuning methods. the speakers are the best part of this device. the sound is very clear and has a fully rounded sound and not tinny as you would expect in a device of this size.
the other really good feature of this radio is its ability to receive auxiliary inputs from external devices like mp3 players, laptops etc.
all in all we are very happy with it and would recommend it unreservedly

Solid performer
My second foray into the DAB world. First was a cheapy portable but this one restores my faith. It is a solid build but not heavy.
Looks a bit like my Dad's old 9v FM radio so I suppose its retro looks swayed me.
Good reception unless you stand in front of it which can be fixed easily by putting the ariel up.
