Very pleased - top value item
Purchased my first DAB unit for Christmas, very pleased with its overall performance so far and I must say I'm very impressed with the DAB transmission quality. The dimension of the unit in cm is 23.5W x 12.5d x 15h (this info is missing in Amazon) so it goes well on top of the bed side table as well - not too bulky either. Unit comes with very handy functions including sleep timer, alarm.
For those looking for 'improvement comments', menu & access buttons of the unit are bit small so a remote control would have been good idea. I would have given 5 stars had it come with a remote control, but overall excellent value quality equipment for under £30.

Lovely looking radio with a great punchy sound, you cant go wrong with this radio very easy to set up i just turned mine on when i received it and it automatically searched for channels and set the clock. only bad point i can see is it don't take batteries. But the the sound quality is very good.

This years best deal
I have just bought this radio as my first foray into DAB.
Simply excellent- for the money it is an absolute steal. Especially with the kitchen timer and input for the MP3 player.
I have hardly bothered with the instructions as it is so straight forward to pick up all the national channels etc.
Wish my other purcahases at Christmas were so good value.
Happy New Year !

brilliant
Just bought this because of the price and am amazed how good a piece of kit this is! Plugged in my ipod with the supplied lead and wonderful sound. Not stereo but you would not notice in most cases. The UK mains lead was, as stated in previous reviews in the packaging. Hope that reviewer did not throw it away with the packaging! I can only recommend this especially at £29.99, a steal!

Superb - Get yours quick!
I'm not normally a fan of Phillips gear but I bought this because it was a good price and looked quite stylish with the scope to play back music from my smart phone. I have to say that the sound quality is superb, a really nice, well rounded sound with good clarity. It's so good I thought I was listening to the Digital broadcast but it was actually on FM at the time. The build quality is good too, pleasing materials and attractive form. Not sure what the carry handle is for because mine doesn't appear to take batteries so once plugged in its staying put as far as I'm concerned. Nevertheless, it still looks cute. Lets hope it lasts longer than the Pure DAB radio its replacing - that only lasted 13 months.
