Great reception - but some issues

(3 out of 5) by alfredo on Jan 9, 2008
Although this is quite a chunky box, there's something rather sweet and appealing about it. It's very straightforward to set up (with one caveat - hence just three stars) and it's managed to get good reception on the bedside table in a very difficult part of our house (something the Pure Siesta completely failed to do). Sounds really good as well.

However...

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong or possibly the manual's up the creek but I can't for the life of me get it to store any presets (in either DAB or FM mode). Following the instructions to the letter doesn't seem to work and the instructions for storing the presets look almost identical to the ones for recalling the presets. It's almost as if you need to press something else before they'll store.

Could just be a faulty box I suppose but has anyone else had this problem?

Best I've found...

At 29.99 this radio is awesome. Almost as good as a tivoli, reception is the best dab I've found so far. Tops.

A fab little radio

(4 out of 5) by Toontone on Dec 22, 2007 (UK)
This dab radio is excellent value. It came supplied with power cable European and UK. Also very usefully an AUX cable was supplied that allowed me to link my iPod in straight away.
It provides a suitable output of sound for a bedroom or kitchen and surprisingly the bass is good. Very happy with it - well done Phillips.

Bigger than I expected but great sound

(5 out of 5) by Richard Thomas on Dec 21, 2007 (UK)
I'm very impressed with this radio - especially for the price. There's a good bass to the sound which reminds me of my dad's old cabinet radio. It's quite big in all dimensions so it's not something you could carry around unless you have a caravan. It's easy to use and tune and picks up more stations than my previous DAB radio. All in all very pleased indeed.

A real bargain.

This is a wonderful little dab radio. It is very stylish~reminds me of the old car radios from the 70's and retro is SO in now!!
Seriously, if you are looking to invest in digital radio this is the very chappie for you.It has a superb sound~especially if you like a bit of bass~and fab reception. This will be the second digital radio that I have bought~one for upstairs and one for down but hopefully it won't get the buttons stuck on it like my last (Digihome) one.
I would recommend this radio and am very satisfied with my purchase~Thank you.
