For the 405 and 50?

Just about to buy this to go with my Garmin 405 (which is excellent by the way - 5 stars!) - this foot pod is meant to work with the 405, 305 and the Garmin 50 - and the picture is identical to the foot pods seen with the other units.

Here's the rub - I can buy this for £64 - or buy a Garmin 50 and a footpod for £68 - or buy a Garmin 50 and a footpod and a spare ANT stick and a spare HR transmitter for £99 - seeing that the transmitter on its own is £40 (and my old transmitter belts for the 205 AND the 305 stopped working after a year and the belt is identical - so a replacement will definitely be needed) this seems like a banker. Any reason why not to do this?
