Great item however be prepared to spend a fiver when you get it!

(4 out of 5) by Simon Wimpenny on May 27, 2009
great item, works like a charm as soon as the unit moves it is activated and starts using the battery, can anyone gues why this is a problem though ?
When i received mine the internal battery was flat! i had to go spend £4.59 on a new one! has nobody thought that when the unit is made in China and shipped to the UK with the battery installed it will be on and using the battery!! every slight movement the unit makes turns it on! so by the time its been shipped, transported and then posted to you it could have had 12 months use as mine had!

The Old battery Issue

(4 out of 5) by Dudley DoRight on Jul 2, 2009
Agree with all other reviews - you will need a new battery unless you are very lucky so do not think it is broken!!

Was disappointed you could not use both heart rate monitor and the foot pod at the same time so I have to keep swapping between the two.

Aside from that, it is a doddle to use and is very accurate.

Am very happy with it.

Garmin Forerunner 50 foot pod

(3 out of 5) by Molo Africa Uk Ltd on Jun 7, 2009 (Guernsey)
The Garmin foot pod is great. It enables me to easily gather data on my running pace etc., and download it to the Garmin web site. The only complaint I have is that the battery it shipped with was a dud so I was frustrated at having to immediately go out and buy another.

Apart from that, well worth the investment.

Battery

(4 out of 5) by Mr. Nicholas P. Cleaver on Jun 13, 2009 (england)
Excellent kit that works well with heart rate monitor, once set up the data transfer from watch to Garmin connect (home pc) takes seconds, ideal additional training tool. Only down side though the foot pod came with a dead battery, cost me an additional £3+. normally battery loaded kit comes with a plastic pull to enable power up or battery packaged seperatly, don't know if anybody else has experianced similar issue.
