great!!!!!
The first thing you notice about the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack is the semi-ridged exo-shell on the back. This ex0-shell help protect your notebook and the other gear you place into the bag. It also gives the backpack a very streamlined look. This is the first notebook bag I have used that places the padded notebook compartment in the middle of the bag rather than in the far back.
This is a good move for the safety of your notebook as it puts more bag and gear between your notebook and the front or back of the bag where most impacts will happen. The vast majority of laptop bags out there have horrendous visibility inside the bag due to using dark colored fabrics. Logitech used a bright safety orange fabric that offers fantastic visibility.
Inside the bag there are numerous pouches and compartments for storing your gear. The front compartment of the bag has two moderately sized pockets with Velcro flaps to store things in, I was able to get my Canon S2 IS camera into one of them and used the other pouch for my mouse.
Below those pockets is a large mesh compartment that is ideal for wires and cables needed for working on the road. A divider with pen and business card holders separates the mesh area from the rear of the first compartment, making an area good for paper work or other items. A zippered pouch rounds out the storage options in the first section of the bag.
Right behind the first compartment of the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack is a external pouch built into the top of the bag between the from compartment and the main compartment that is big enough for cell phones, sun glasses or similarly sized items.
The main compartment has the notebook area which covers your notebook up to the last few inches and secures the computer with an elastic strap and Velcro closure. Another small storage area sits between the notebook area and another semi-ridgid separator for storing paper work and files. Rounding out main compartment storage is a small pouch that has no closure.
On the rear of the bag is another external pouch that is padded and closes with a zipper sized large enough and padded well enough that it would serve as storage for your portable game systems like the PSP or Nintendo DS. The back of the bag is very well padded as are the straps, making for comfortable extended wear. The right shoulder strap has a zippered pouch intended for your MP3 player that also features a headphone pass through. A chest strap also helps keep the shoulder straps in place. For times when you don't want the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack actually on your back, a top carry handle is built-in as well.
KINETIK Backpack in Use
I took the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack with me to Quakecon 2007 stuffed with my normal complement of cords and electronics. The bag was very comfortable and the sculpted design made the bag much less bulky than other laptop backpacks I have used. My Acer TravelMate 4404 WLMi laptop at 15.4" is as big a computer as you will get inside the bag.
I have collected several laptop bags over the years from some of the biggest and most popular bag makers around; none of them has ever drawn complements of any sort. The Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack however, drew complements repeatedly while I was coming and going around Quakecon. People of all ages seemed to like the looks of the bag and the internal storage. Average geeks about my age (33) liked it and asked about it, and one younger kid about 14 asked me about the bag as well so it seems to appeal to all ages of users.
The KINETIK has the best internal visibility of any bag I have used. The bright red/orange color makes it easy to find items that may be in the bottom of the bag. The bag is freestanding, Logitech says it won't fall over, but it did fall over on me a few times when it was open. The small and compact look of the bag hides a cavernous interior that is filled with gobs of storage. The only real problems I had with the bag was with the zippers. Once I stuffed a few more things into the bag and it was reaching capacity, the zippers were hard to open. If you need a laptop bag that protects your computer and offers lots of storage space, the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack is the best bag I have used.

Great Laptop bag
This is a fantastic bag. I've previouly used the rugged hard wearing bags from Dell which are great for protecting your laptop but murder on your shoulders with the weight and the strap design. This is very light and has well padded straps for that esential cushioning if you have a heavy laptop. Lots of space for accessories, flash cards, adapter cable etc and a big diary as i carry my A4 diary and notepad around a lot. Great quality all round, right down to the stitching which aligns perfectly to form what i presume is a water tight seal. Unfortunately I love the bag too much to let it get wet so someone else will have to test that area. But seriously this is a great piece of kit and at a great price compared to Logitech's retail price.

This is designed & manufactured by Axio
The Logitech Kinetic is designed and manufacutured by Axio under a co branding arrangement. It actually carries the Axio label on the side of the bag. It is almost identical to the Axio Fuse Hardpack see Axio Fuse Hardpack AX0838BK/BK laptop case,Fits up to 17" (Black) but at half the price. More details can be found on the Axio web site under co branding.
Not so sure
I am now on the second of these bags with the top handle fraying loose on the first. The same thing has started to occur on its replacement in exactly the same place though to be fair I do carry lots of paperwork and a heavy Thinkpad laptop
Other than that the capacity is good and the hardshell good protection. Lots of pockets and storage too.
I have been also complimented on the looks of the bag.
