Edifier i-F200

whilst the unit itself was a great buy, with a nice sound and ease of use, it does NOT work well with the 4th Gen nano as it will not recognise it properly to access the alarm clock as per the instructions. It will also not charge the nano whilst in place. We checked other review sites and found this was the case elsewhere, even though Amazon and Edifier's own website does not clarify the issue at all.
We also have a 3rd Gen nano which works perfectly well on the edifier.

Cheap and cheerful but be aware!
(3 out of 5) by H. Black on Jan 18, 2009My daughter (9) got new pink Generation 4 ipod nano for Christmas. Thought this would look fab with it and in her room which is also pink.
I did not have any problems setting this up, it recognised and began playing within seconds. However, there was a message appearing indicating that charging is not supported.
I e-mailed Edifier from their website and to their credit they replied almost immediately to advise that the dock does not charge the newer ipods. This also includes Generation 3 as I tried my own ipod on it and got the same message.
As long as you're aware of this and happy to charge your ipod another way, I'd recommend it.

Great Little Gadget
(5 out of 5) by Aj Horne on Sep 8, 2008I have one of these in black and contrary to another review on the black system i have to say this is great. Very easy to set up provided you can read and follow very simply instructions!!!
Works like a charm and if you find your back light stays on then change the display settings on your ipod and dont blame the dock!

Great product

I was a bit hesitant on purchasing this product because i was worried about ease of use but most of all about the sound quailty. To our surprise the sound quailty was really good we were very impressed. I want to purchase one of these in black for myself. My sister informed me that it was easy to use and she loves it. I recommend this product to anyone loooking to invest in a docking station for their bedroom as its just right and whats great about it is its for use with most of the ipods, it charges your ipod it comes in pink, black or white and its an alarm clock, what more would you want also the price reasonable. Happy i bought it.
