I bought this "second-hand" recorder for almost half the lowest "new" price on the internet. It had been opened but not used. It was in Germany but arrived within 3 days with UK power lead and instructions. I already had a DVD recorder and have since used it for editing and downloading from other family DVDs. It is an excellent recorder (reference the Which report) but the instructions should include a "how to edit" tutorial. It is easy now that I have mastered the mass of details! I did not need any "digital TV guides" which seem to make all the other recorders much more expensive.

The recorder was fairly simple to connect although the instruction book could be clearer on this point. Initial set up took quite a while but has remained stable in the 6 weeks I've been using it. Setting the timer is simple and reliable but giving recordings a title is time consuming and awkward. The instruction book could do with improvement to make it clearer to use.
This is not a product for someone who wants a very easy to use recorder but is excellent.

I can't praise this product up enough?..its definately the most simple and straight forward machine i ever used. It plays and records the cheapest dvd's i insert. So i'm very very happy so far.

Can anyone tell me if there is a HDMi Lead included here already? Dont want to fork out if there is one already? Also, can you record DVD to DVD or only TV to DVD?

Absolutely fantastic,I bought this model after reading all the customer reviews,and I'm glad I did. The picture quality is amazing,the set up was easy and it's even upscalled the Sky channels,and at £80.00 it's a no brainer.If your thinking of buying a no nonsense dvd recorder,then get this.
