(3 out of 5) by Kitaj on Nov 16, 2009 (Sunny UK)I've had one of these for two years now. It is brilliant and I wouldn't be without it except..... when it goes wrong it really goes wrong. Ours has stopped recording and I can't access recorded programmes or use any of the recording features, despite resetting the whole machine. Which makes it pretty redundant really. After two years! So not really that impressed.....then to cap it all contacting Humax is virtually a waste of time. I suggest that before you buy one you check out the Humax Troubleshooting sites and you will find that there are a range of glitches which are unresolvable without help - which you can't get... So I would say 5 stars when it's working (although the slow loading EPG is a bit of a pain)and 0 stars when it's not. Do you want to risk it?

probably the best device you will ever own

I did try other PVRs (for the second TV) and sorry, they are all rubish compared to the 9200!

Occasional freeze, largely totally reliable

I've tried other PVRs before and had taken them back immediately. This one does what it's supposed to, records two programmes at once - and you can even watch a third channel if it's on the same mux!

What a great bit of kit!
(4 out of 5) by A. WICKS on Dec 29, 2008 (UK)Bought the Humax on the strength of reviews on Amazon and Which. Have been rewarded with a great HDD box. It is so easy to set up and just keeps getting better as you realise what it can do. Record one programme or a whole series with the touch of a single button. Record 2 programmes whilst watching a third!.
Overall quality is good, with nice easy to use remote.
Only negative is that it is slightly noisey (not enough to put me off) and you need to watch for over-runs of programmes being recorded or you may lose the endings.
My advice - buy one!
