Sturdy little fella (or should that be lil' lady)

Don't normally write reviews, especially with portable electronics which I've learnt to accept have a sometimes glorious but very short life.
Let's face it with an MP3 player this tiny this is bound to happen sooner or later and it seems Creative may have considered this in the build quality.
Here is my story:
My daughter got one of these for Xmas 2 years ago (I think). She loves it and I've tried it out and sound is rich and involving especially with better quality earphones. THIS IS THE CLINCHER. Today it survived a full wash cycle - cue a river of 10 year old's tears - I didn't hold out much hope at all and resigned to scouring amazon for a replacement. Plugged into PC (needed charging anyway);what's this? a light appears - perhaps there's hope - 20 mins later, switch on and to my amazement all seems well and it's a miracle! Now smells great to (dare I say sound is more Bold - sorry).
Seriously I doubt if newer version with built in speaker would have survived and can't say say for sure but I doubt if sound from this is worth it.

Great player for the money

I haven't had any problems with battery life unlike some other reviews on here, its at least 6 hours in my experience. The player is quick for something so small and holds a lot of music. It works like a drag and drop flash disc and charges from the USB connection so I can use it at home and work, although its not suitable for listening to at work as it does not play whilst connected.

Overall its a great player, if you're sat on the fence just buy it, you won't be disappointed.

It's not great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I brought one elsewhere for £23.00 including postage to replace an 1GB Creative muvo. The Muvo is much better.
The stone is cheap looking and feels like it will break if handled too roughly. The sound from the earphones is ok, the fm radio is poor but it comes with a protective case and USB cable. It downloads from windows media player ok and is ok for work, I won't be heart broken if I damage it or lose it due it been rather cheap.
If you want a decent mp3 I would look elsewhere, if you want cheap music for work then its fine.

Good sound and easy to use, it even works with Vista (unlike the zen micro) but as with all MP3 get different earphones the supplied ones are not good

"We just don't have the power Cap'n"

(2 out of 5) by N. Hunter on Mar 7, 2008 (Dorset)
Cute, light and good looking - who could ask for anything more?

Well we all could to be honest, because we could ask for power and this cute little device has none. Simple to use, has many, many functions - although it includes an FM radio which I am guessing wont be too useful when the big digital switch over happens - and will take most formats (a major plus over any iEquipment).

But there is always a trade off and here it is power. The life of the thing is about 6 hours. I am not kidding, 6 hours and that is rubbish. As much as I dislike iEquipment, now, at least the stuff stayed charged.

Which is a real shame, because I want to like Creative products. In PCs they are great but this is my first relationship with them outside of a PC (please keep your minds clean people) and what a let down.

You have been warned.
