Fantastic!
(5 out of 5) by D. Smith on Dec 24, 2007I was a bit wary about buying this set as I couldn't find many reviews. The price was excellent though - and considerably cheaper at amazon than elsewhere.
I decided to take the plunge and upgrade my 32" widescreen JVC CRT.
I have to say I am exceptionally pleased with the quality and picture - I used the supplied stand which was very easy to set up (6 screws).
I have it linked up to Virgin V+ box, Xbox with XBMC, HD-DVD, and Denon upscaling DVD player. The sound is routed through an amp - so can't really comment about the sound (but seemed OK when I set it up)
The picture is particularly impressive with HD channels on the V+ box (at 1080i), but the quality of the picture on (most) normal channels is surprisingly good and much better than on a normal TV.
Overall I am happy, and hope this will be pretty "futureproof"

Backlight Bleeding Problems
(4 out of 5) by CP on Dec 2, 2007 (Malta)This TV offers exceptional picture quality but with backlight leakage problems that show up as cloudy (whitish) patterns on the screen when displaying dark images. I bought this from a local dealer (not Amazon) and was told that this is to be expected on any LCD. Any experiences that can confirm this?

Good Stuff
(5 out of 5) by C. Barron on Jan 5, 2008 (England, UK)Overall this is a great TV, it has everything you would expect of a TV of this standard, quick channel changing, easy menus, a great deal of handy features & loads of image & sound enhancing technology.
A great buy at this price though, i don't think you can find a TV with as many features as this at the same size for any cheaper.
The only downside is the running temperature, you can feel the heat coming off the screen at even 2 feet away. I'm not sure if this is the case with all LCD's this size or not, but it will save you money on central heating atleast.
A strongly reccomended purchase.

***High Quality***
(5 out of 5) by kuttu2001 on May 17, 2008 I bought this fantastic TV in last November. Actually I spend many hours in front of my computer by looking TV reviews before I bought this TV. But there were a few I could see about this tv(none at Amazon).Then I went to the nearest Comet shop to see this in action!.I couldn't see any difference in the quality of the picture of this one, a sony and a samsung!! The sound is also good too...
The reason why I choose this one is the price.It's very difficult to get such a fabulous TV at this lower price.If you have a HD source like a blue-ray player or a ps3, this TV produce the pictures at its highest quality. The first blue-ray disk I watched in this tv is 'Planet Earth'.It was amazing!!! I'm proud of my selection and I recommend it too.

great tv with few minor problems.

Killoh on Jan 25, 2008 (dufftown scotland)this tv is great and i love it large and very high quality up to 1080p and i bought it at a local store for £800. only thing i dont like about it is it collcts dust like a magnet meaning constant cleaning but only because it shows up so clearly against the black. second minor problem and really just for me no optical cable port which wont affect most people but minor annoyance other than that spectacular.
