CRACKALACKING!
(5 out of 5) by Mr. N. M. Hills on Apr 19, 2008Wow! I wasn't really expecting half the performance this thing can manage. The sound is crisp and it delivers quite an impressive amount of bass. As a surround system for movies it is excellent and the 1080i upscaling is a treat, where i have gained most enjoyment is through gaming (especially COD4 and BF2) Geek that i am. It makes the whole experience very exciting. Being able to plug my iPod into it is very handy.
One dissapointment was that it was advertised as Multi region, which it isn't! Half my DVD collection being region 1 made that quite annoying.
Apart from that i highly recommend this system, it's no BOSE or Bang&Olufsen, but hey...its not far off.

Absolutely Fantastic!

No sound issues that other people have reported. Everything is crystal clear. The picture quality is excellent too. I've had my HD telly for a while now, but never had any kind of High def service. I know strictly speaking this isn't High Def, but the difference in picture quality is amazing! I forgot to order the HDMI cable initially, so connected with scart and the picture was ok, changed to HDMI and the picture is so sharp and clear.
Overall this is a fantastic bit of kit, especially for the money.

Even plays divx with srt files(subs). Couldn`t rate it high enough. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants quality for a low price. Go on! Buy it.

Best Value Around?

I bought it to replace a 5 year old £500 system and it is brilliant. Highly recommended at twice the price. Very easy set up even through the Sky HD Box. Thanks Amazon...£179.00 at Comet.

Hissing Sound Too

Unfortunately and sadly, there is really hissing sound. It is audible when volume is zero to 2. Higher volume will "cover" the hissing. However, it is obvious during silent moments when watching movies.
I was told it is due to grounding issue and electrical wiring quality. The voltage leak is quite high. I can feel the slight shock when touching the metal casing.
Anyone got any solution or having voltage leak as well?
