Kitchen Speakers
Following the first recommendation I went ahead and bought these speakers.
Setup was very easy. It comes provided with phono jacks and a 3.5mm stereo jack. I did manage to wire it into my amp by stripping down two phono jacks. This would probably work with the one supplied but I opted to buy an extension and a twin stereo phono audio connector in case I needed them in the future for other appliance setups.
Remote works fine on both speakers. However, you need to be able to reach the speakers to turn them on as the remote doesn't seem to power them up (unless I'm missing something). So don't put them/plan to put them somewhere you can't reach them unless this gets fixed/updated. Bit of an oversight for me (lucky I can just reach them in the kitchen). Sound is good and I'm looking forward to using them outside sometime.

I bought these speakers to extend the range of our music system from the dining room into the kitchen or the garden without turning up the volume loud enough to deafen my neighbours.
The fact that these operate either from Mains AC adapters (supplied) or from batteries (not supplied) was the primary reason why I chose these rather than some of the other models available on the market which are mains only. We have already had our first BBQ with them and they were brilliant - music playing right from the kitchen, through the dining room and out into the garden.
They are so easy to set up it is laughable. They come with a line-out cable to plug the transmiter into the stereo and also an adapter which splits that cable for use on the red and white REC outputs. As an experiment we also tryed pluging these into the Surround Sound outputs and got very good effects but in the end we just wanted to use the speakers to play music at different locations so the REC output option was the best.
The sound quality is good and it is great that the volume on each speaker can be independently adjusted.
So what don't I like?
As I mentioned the speakers don't come supplied with batteries, and at 6 x size C for each speaker that can be quite expensive if you run them from the batteries a lot. Mains operation is definitely the preferred options and if you intend to use the batteries a lot I recommend that you buy a battery charger that will cope with size C and keep a spare set ready to go. That said, I haven't had to change the batteries yet (one week in) so I can't testify to how power thirsty they will be.
The only other annoyance is that when I had the speaker sitting on top of the microwave it suffered from some interference when the microwave was operating - not cracking, just going quiet, next time I might try changing the transmitter channels to see if this solves it (easy to do - press one button on transmitter then press one button on speaker remote.) Either that or just do what I did this time and move it a few feet away across the kitchen.) Not a show stopper by any means!
All in all these are a very good bit of kit - mobile, good sound, easy to set up and use.

These are great
Based on the other recommendations I bought the product and I haven't been disappointed. They do exactly what the others say and the sound quality is good even though the sender unit is in another room. Yes you have to tweak the setting to get the best quality with all the other wireless stuff in the house, but pushing a button twice is hardly a great deal is it? Only used on mains power to date so cant comment on battery life, but if you intend to use for long periods running a power cable shouldn't be an issue.

ipx3 outdoor speakers
Easy to set up. Does pretty much what is said on the can. Really only suited for outdoor background music as the output isn't that strong (not loud enough for a party).Perhaps this could be rectified by boosting the signal somehow but I don't think the speakers could handle it. Microwave definitely interferes with signal. They are quite big for what they are capable of but on the whole pretty okay for the money.
