Celebrating the art of simplicity.
I received one of these recently as a work phone, and as a work phone it is perfect. All I need to do is make and receive calls, and possibly read/send the odd text message. And it does those with ease, after all they are the core functions of the phone - and the battery is phenomenal, days after a charge it is still chugging on!
I've given this three stars as compared to other phones out there it lacks in many areas, but for anyone wanting a simple phone for basic use then this is an excellent option. I recently reviewed a high end smartphone, I can't expect this phone to compare with that, and I wouldn't want it to. This feels refreshingly easy to use after I've been using the smartphone, and it's the sort of phone that my dad would feel comfortable with.
The media player isn't up to much, the screen is pretty appalling (the colours and clarity look like like a throwback to the first colour screens) and it feels a bit cheap. But at least the options are there, and for someone who isn't a dedicated gadgeteer with pockets bulging with portable media players - they will do the job.
The Nokia menu structure reflects the objective of the overall phone - it is easy and anyone could use it straight from the box without having to twiddle with various settings.
This is an uninspiring phone, bland and basic - BUT - those are it's strengths. This isn't one of Nokia's flagship all-singing-and-dancing jobbies, it's designed to be used by people who want a phone that doesn't scare them with a vast array of options.
I remember using the original Nokia 3110, and it's credit to Nokia that this phone is as easy to use as the original was ten years ago. As I alluded to earlier - it's the lack of bells and whistles that add to simplicity. This is a bog standard average phone and that is something to be celebrated.

simple and stylish
A simple stylish and light phone which is perfect if you don't want a complex set of features. It has a camera with decent picture quality not the best but as good as you'll need on a phone. To summarise it is perfect for what i need and very nice looking.

Smart and easy to use
This is only my 2nd phone in 10 years! (first one being a motorola 3788)
I can honestly say, that if I need to use this 3110c for the next 10 years, I won't be at all disappointed.
Small, black and beautifully formed, it may not have the 'style' of more expensive phones, but it certainly won't look out of place next to them.
What I like: Easy to use, nice size buttons (for those of us who don't have tiny fingers), Web access (checking my e-mails is a breeze)..
Changeable wallpapers, screensavers and ringtones all add to the appeal.
What I don't like: Well, I suppose at a push, I would say that the camera isn't the best, nor is the media player..
Having said that, If you want great photos, then buy a proper digital camera...
likewise, if you want to listen to your music collection, then buy a proper MP3 player...
after all, you are buying a phone!
Battery life is very good and with changeable MP3 ringtones you will be begging people to call you, just to hear your favourite tune!
The phone does have bluetooth capability, but I recommend buying a USB cable to connect to your PC (USB 'A' to mini 'B' type), you can then transfer photos/tones etc, with ease.
One final welcome feature, is a SD micro card slot.
Chances are you may not need more memory space, but if like me, you have several different ringtones and dozens of photos on your phone, then some extra space is welcome.

no frills
This is a good solid phone without all the extras. Highly recommended for people wanting no nonsense which will never be used. OK the screen resolution is not up to scratch but all in all a very good basic phone. As a review mentioned it can be used with a USB cable to connect to the memory card directly otherwise a free software download will allow phone connectivity to your computer.
