I purchased this a few weeks ago from the supposed 'number 1' shopping channel. The picture quality was good, as a still image! However, it's supposed to be a video camera. The play back was jumpy. The camera had to be mounted on a tripod to get a steady shot - hardly useful for mini camcorder! The autofocus would take time to settle causing what should be an excellent image quality to be poor. It worked best on continuous night shot, otherwise the photos were too dark during the day! The worst element of this was the sound quality. It was appalling, so much so, it was embarrasing to show anyone else the footage. I expected it to be good as it records on an SD card, therefore eliminating internal mechanism noise, however the camera continually picked up the motor noise from the autofocus. I foolishly ordered the underwater case to accompany this. It arrived, but I sent it back unopened returning the whole unit. This 'No'1' shopping channel certainly did not stand up for their three words in all respects. I am back to my old, trusty analog Sony camcorder, its quality is still greatly superior.

Much promised - very little received.
The only excellent feature of this camcorder is the quality of the high def video on screen.
However,attempting to hold camera steady to obtain acceptable "wobble free" on screen is totally impossible, and I am a professional vidoegrapher ! Desperately needs built in stabilisation system. Jpeg pics are tolerable but not over brilliant.
Generally, I was very disappointed at this purchase & had to return it as unacceptable.

I have also ordered the high definition camcorder from the No 1 shopping channel and I have to say what great value for money! For the non-professional user like me it's so easy to use. I play back my clips on my TV and the video and sound quality is great - I am absolutely satisfied. But I didn't know there's an underwater case available?! I will have to order one for my Portugal holiday ;-)

as for the number one shopping channel they put up with a lot from you people you seem to forget they don't make the item and they do not control the post people of your intalect i would have thought would know that, and let me ask you this what other place gives you your money back nearly a year down the line for a faulty item with no receipt? so stop knocking the number 1 shopping channel because you would not get the service anywhere else i guarantee that
