I'm on holiday in the states and bought the 370 shortly before going. I used it in London before going there and have now being using it for a week in Southern Califormia, home to 8 lane freeways and dense metropolitan areas.
The 370 has been super - memories of being completely lost in Florida even though I had been going there for 5 years have been eliminated. The 370 takes care of almost everything - the direction obviously, which lane I should be thinking of getting into. Not a single fight with wife over directions and much more confidence to go places because we know the Garmin will just take us there either by address or the name of attraction/restaurant etc
But it also has a full database of restaurant and shops by categories and the distances to each - so when the wife wants a mall, the children want McDonalds or a Blockbuster then the Garmin lists them all, closest first.
It is also highly simple to use - I felt my previous sat nav based on destinator software was really complex to use, although maps were good.

The 370 is a bit more cost than the 270 because of the bluetooth link to phone and the MP3/audio books - not sure these are worth it as I have not used them.
Size of screen is fine for me and voice instructions are loud enough even with radio on.
Well recommended if you need both UK and USA maps

I bought this Sat Nav becuase of the amount of time I spend in the USA for work and I have got to say it is an excellent user friendly sat nav. The directions are easy to follow and the screen is large enough for good map details, yet the Sat Nav is still small enough to fit in your jacket pocket. One the features I like in this Sat Nav is its hands free calling bluetooth feature, which is very user friendly and definitely more comfortable to use then a bluetooth ear piece. I have even found the Mp3 to be of reasonable sound quality and works well with an FM transmitter.

Like most new Sat Nav's the maps were already out of date when the product arrived but I found it is easy to update the software. overall I would highly recommend this Sat Nav.

having used the nuvi 370 in both the usa and europe and would advise anyone to buy one .Ive used it in colorado,wyoming,south dakota and texas in the usa and holland in europe and have had no problems .
