Unbelievable Value for Money

Jul 25, 2007 - By Mr. N. Dean (Manchester)

This is such a great TV, I can't believe it doesn't have any ratings/reviews yet - so here goes..

I have only had this TV for a few days but I have been blown away by the picture and sound quality. Although it is HD ready, I have only been watching standard Freeview programmes but the picture quality has been excellent. There is occassional blurring from fast moving objects, but it is only minor and very infrequent so no problem at all. For this price, it is unbelievable value for money.

Unless you are a real TV picture/sound expert/geek, give this TV a try and you really won't regret it!

Panasonic TX-26LMD70 TV - Beautiful TV!

Feb 1, 2008 - By Jeremy Vaughan (Sunderland)

Put it this way - I have a Sony KDL32D3000 downstairs; bought the Panny for the bedroom and the Panny has the better picture. I like the Sony - to be honest in styling simplicity they lead the field - however in straight performance terms then Panny is superior, colours are superbly rendered and as for user friendliness - forget it - the menus on the Panny are both far easier to read and more intuitive to use. DVDs look superb on my Denon 3930, especially in 720p or 1080p. I would, however, recommend looking at the standard image settings. Pretty much as it is with my Sony - reduce brightness and sharpness, boost contrast and disengage all 'techy' settings (you know what i mean!) - ah, image heaven!

Forget what others say about the 100hz nonsense on the 26LXD70 - i know the 'motion pro' on my Sony makes the picture worse - seriously more blocky - the benefits of most of the recent 'spec' enhancements are speculative to say the least - in the end it is difficult to overcome deficiencies in the underlying technology.

Save your money and get the LMD70 - god knows money is getting tight enough as it is right now.

Brilliant TV!!!

Mar 9, 2008 - By V. Voelschow (Scotland)

Got this TV about 2 weeks ago from amazon and I'm really impressed with it so far. Very good picture and sound is excellent, too.
It's really easy to set up, just took it out of the box and plugged it in. Searches for available channels automatically. As we don't get Freeview the TV just got the 4 analogue channels that are available here. Will get Sky soon though, can't wait to be able to watch digital channels on this brilliant TV.
Plugging in things like DVD-Players is straighforward, and TV switches automatically to AV-channel when DVD is switched on. Again: Picture quality is brilliant! (Brightness, Contrast etc. can be adjusted to suit your own preferences) Sound is brilliant!
If you are looking for a reasonably priced LCD-TV I definitely recommend this Panasonic TV.

An amazing deal for a top tv!

Mar 12, 2008 - By Thomas Andrew (London UK)

Well my first step into HDTV and i must say that this TV has far exceeded my expectations. I jumped at this TV as soon as I noticed the price drop to sub 450, and with express delivery it was with me in just 22 hours!.

One of my worries was the fact as I have a PVR which only has Scart outputs that the picture quality would be awful. When I first set the tv up, its was!, but with a little work with the settings and switching on Panasonic's noise reduction system it look almost as good as 1080p from my xbox!.

Here's a few of my favorite features, that you may not be aware of:
1. Controls of top of tv.
2. Side inputs inc headphones
3. Auto AV detection (switches over when the tv notices a new device)

......to be honest for £429! its an bargain!.
