Great little piece of kit.
(5 out of 5) by S. Crossthwaite on Aug 29, 2008I was a little worried about installation after reading the other review for this product but I had no problems at all. It was relatively quick and very straight forward.
The webcam itself is wonderfully compact, perfect for use with my laptop.
The video quality is bright and from what i've seen so far, very good quality for such a reasonably priced webcam. The inbuilt microphone is very handy, too. I bought it to use with Skype and it works without problem.
Overall I'm a very happy bunny =)

Easy Peasy

Beep beep beep beep beep...

However, and it's a big however, when you record or communicate with the video and sound on at the same time there is a constant beeping in the background that seems to go as fast as the frame rate. I have searched online and many people seem to be having this difficulty.
I doubt it's to do with feedback from my speakers because I wear headphones, and I have no other peripherals attached. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the noise, and despite frequent fiddlings with the settings and multiple attempts with the audio tuning wizard it just won't go away.
It's very frustrating, and although I'm holding out for a solution, I have a gut feeling that it's a technical design fault. Altogether very disappointing.

I love this webcam!

The built in mic and the pic quality are both great if you just want to have a chat. The price was way better (less than half) than what I'd seen it priced at in the pc stores. Fits nicely on my laptop and looks good too!

Small, stylish and good quality

I have tried it on a LCD monitor as well on different sized laptops and it fits quite well compared to other webcams I have used in the past.
Quality is good, installation is easy (used the latest driver from the logitech website) and the software seems decent, it has some nice features.
You can focus the lens manually.
I have tried it with skype and it works well, didn't bother to test with messenger yet.
