This is my first ever digital camera, and after many years of using 35mm cameras I eventually made the change to digital, probably the last person to do so. I can't really fault it, extremely well made, though a little chunky, takes 2 AA batteries, well eats batteries actually! though all digital cameras do. Huge LCD screen, brilliant sharp pictures too, and video. The onboard memory is tiny though, you can take about 5 shots and that's it, so I bought a 4gb bytestor sdhc which is great, I can store 1,000 shots on that, or 1 hour of video at 7.2 megs. One warning though, I bought mine through pixmania, so the instruction book and the onboard menu were in...French! So I had to go to the Panasonic site and download an English instruction book, that enabled me to change the onboard menu back to English, so everything is fine now. The software is excellent and very easy to use too, over all an excellent camera from the Lumix range from Panasonic.
