Broken

(1 out of 5) by mackem on Oct 1, 2008 (UK)
I bought the TV for my wife because of the DVD function. Had nothing but trouble have problems when turning on the TV and the DVD will not work.
I have tried to get in touch with the company but they do not respond to my emails very disappointed with their customer service.

Great Value buy

(4 out of 5) by Royum on Dec 30, 2007 (UK)
I can only assume that those giving this TV a very low score haven't got a clue on TV's.

Regarding the tuning/initaial set up, sure you have to tune the analogue stations and then seperately tune the digital stations, but done once that's it. Did those complaining even bother to read the instruction booklet?

The DVD does make a bit of noise for the first few seconds whilst it loads the disk, after this it is as quiet as any other DVD player and way quieter than a games console. The remote can at times be slow to respond, but it always does eventually and it seems to have a narrow field of reception for the IR beam. This is a great value LCD TV, DVD combo that's region free and could be used as a PC monitor through its VGA socket, it is wall mountable and the power pack is external meaning you have a box part way down the power lead.

The remote takes a little bit of learning, but it's a value package, I expect to work a little bit harder on something at this price than I do say on a Sony, Pioneer or Toshiba piece of kit. I liked it so much I bought another one for another room.

Steer clear of this TV

(1 out of 5) by J. D. Reid on Dec 4, 2007
Like others I bought this for my son's bedroom but when we received it the TV was faulty and did not recognise a signal when plugged in to an outside arial. Also when I inserted a DVD it did not recognise there was a DVD inserted!! I returned the TV by recorded delivery which cost me almost £30 and I have only been refunded the £5 charged by Amazon to deliver to me. I was attracted by the price which was £199.99 and notice that suddenly it is being advertised at £249.99 reduced to £219.99. I may be wrong but isn't this in breach of the Trades Description Act?? Save yourself some hassle and steer clear of this TV.

easytouch 19"

(2 out of 5) by A. S. Marshall on Jan 2, 2008 (uk)
My wife purchased this model for me at xmas.
As previously stated disc load and eject noisey but fine when played.
mine is tuned in via dvt and not analogue.
have noticed the sound drifts out of sync.
one thing i have noticed with our set is that it can turn itself on and off
and that the controls fail to respond. intermitently on the tv and on the remote.
im not sure if this is a setup issue or a fault at this time.
although my tv is connected to a direct tv aerial it only receives about 48% signal
might invest in a dvb aerial.
interested to see if anyone else has had similar issues to me.
