Very Satisfied Customer
(5 out of 5) by Misty Jake on Mar 7, 2008 (U.K.)I bought this Internal drive in November 2007 following buying a series of faulty external hard drives by Western Digital which continually needed to be re- formatted thus loosing valuable files and folders stored on it.Luckily I had a back up of my files and folders otherwise the results would have been devistating. (See my review on the Westen Digital HDD.
The Generic Hard Disk has to date given me no such problems and is continuing to do just what I expect of a Hard disk drive.

Quick Delivery/ Great product and cheap for needed memory.

Thirkettle on Aug 3, 2008 (Finedon, uk)I have severial of these and they all work fine, there quick memory and usefull depending on what you use then for, or too what product you use them with. Mediaplayers use them and i fined that installing is the hardist part, Enclosures are not recommended by me as i would just buy a Freecom 500g hardrive with a built in cooling system rather than buying this and an enclosure for a little less only too have the harddrive overheat and damage. Loseing 500g on memory can be devastateing.
A very good quality IDE Hard Disc Drive at a reasonable cost

The new HDD was purchased to replace a 320GB Western Digital drive in a home-built desktop PC and the label on the 500GB drive looked extremely similar to that on my 320GB drive, so it may well be made by the same company. There were no problems formatting the new HDD and after re-installing the Windows operating system and drivers, etc., the HDD proved to be very quiet in operation. Based on my initial purchase, I would certainly use this supplier again and would recommend their product and level of service.

Excellent Drive
