It came with the sony a818 but oh well, I'll just write a review for it

(5 out of 5) by Joseph Yu on Feb 24, 2008 (Buckinghamshire, UK)
These headphones are absolutely fantastic, but only when these conditions are met:

-Get the right fit, they come in 3 ear bud sizes but getting them into a snug fit and isolate out the noise outside can be fiddly

-If you mess around with the EQ to find the right settings. A high bass will be good start as these will cope with it.

-Don't loose them, like me. That brought days and days of misery for me.

Or otherwise, these earphones may cost too much and you should consider the cheaper Sennheiser CX300's, my brother has them and they are too, noise isolating and delivers good sound quality.

Excellent Sony phones (one criticism though)

(5 out of 5) by Small Scale on Feb 2, 2008 (London UK)

I've always liked Sony's in-ear phones as they consistently seem to provide much more natural bass bias than any other manufacturer. These ones are no exception, with enough bass to (probably) melt your brain if you got the volume high enough. They are a distinct and definite improvement to anyone who's still using Sony's MDRE818 or E829 models.

If I had to raise one criticism it's that they do seem to be slightly bright at the top-end, and the mid-range does miss something along the way. But I really am splitting hairs here. I doubt that most people would ever be conscious of this, which means these phones are just superb for the money. Glad Sony is finally back after a few fallow years in the doldrums.

Superb Sound Quality

(5 out of 5) by B. W. Scotcher on Nov 16, 2008 (Colchester, UK)
I got a pair of these bundled with my Sony MP3 player, the A828 with Bluetooth, which i purchased a few months ago.

The most important aspect to remember when using these earphones is to make sure you select the correct size earbuds for your ears. These earphones come with three different sizes, small, medium and large.

At first, i was using the smallest size, which was too small for my ear, and as a result, bass was lost, as mentioned in another recent review.

However, once i'd selected the medium size earbuds, the correct size for my ears, the bass was phenominal. The earphones suddenly had really tight, deep bass with no distortion. The midrange and the highs were spot on. It says in the instructions that choosing the correct earbud size is ESSENTIAL for bass reporduction.

These are the best earphones i have ever used. I have just bought another pair for my Nokia N96, and they make the N96's MP3 reproduction SO SWEET!

Well worth the money! Just read the instructions.

Brilliant lil headphones def worth purchase at this price!!!!

(5 out of 5) by Ms. S. Batten on Jan 4, 2008 (U.K.)
I got these headphones free with a Sony purchase and recently after a rough catch in the door managed to break them - I logged on hurridly trying to find a new pair thinking they were going to be hugely priced (i reckoned around £80)
Then i found them here at this price !
What a bargain
these are top quality little speakers!
I listen to my music religiously wherever I'm going so on average 4+ hours a day and can safely say these are the best I've found - the sound quality of bass and treble is awesome!!
It can handle the heaviest of heavy guitar riffs to the mellow classical stuff
DEF DEF DEF DEF WORTH BUYING!!!!

Good design poor sound quality

(2 out of 5) by Johan De-silva on Jul 9, 2007 (Hampshire, UK)
Good design though sometimes irritable being so in the ear. The sound quality is sadly overrated with little midrange and clarity. Overload bass does not help. Audio Technica are possibly the best brands to look out for for under £100 otherwise you need something a bit bigger.
