I was dubious about the design, after buying a pair of similar-looking Sennheiser CX 300 (which were utterly abysmal for sound quality). However, I've aleays been satisfied with Sony Headphones and I needed an upgrade of my Apple Ipod Headphones, so I took the plunge based on the review already posted.
They sound great. Solid bass and good full-spectrum sound. I listen to heavy rock mainly (Zep, Metallica, Maiden etc) and they really deliver.

I bought these headphones to replace the pair that came with my Walkman. These are possibly some of the best in-ear headphones you can buy; the music is crisp and songs sound exactly as they should. Some people may see the price as a bit much but they are well worth the money.

I bought these from a sony shop a few months ago at a very good price.

At first I thought hmm... ok not a bad pair of earphones but nothing outstanding but over time I've really come to appreciate the quality of the sound.

Give it some playing time (maybe 30-40 hours) and you'll slowly notice an increase in midrange tone and improved balance.

I bought these recently, mainly due to the good reviews on here and on other sites.

I have to say, that I know earphones are a matter of personal taste, but these, to my ear, don't have the depth or warmth of other earphones I have tried.

I've had the fortune of trying offerings from Etymotic and Shure, and funnily enough, I still think that the Creative EP-630's and Sennheiser CX300's (essentially the same earphones) are far better, especially if you like decent bass reproduction.

All of these earphones rely upon a decent seal being made between your ear and the silicon bud, but the Creative's/Sennheiser's just feel the most comfortable, seal the best and give a warmth that every other type of earphone I've tried have yet to better.

I got these as an upgrade to my EX71 headphones as I needed an extra pair for work when I didn't have my mp3 player with me. They are a different shape to the ex71's but are easy to fit in the ear and comfortable for long periods.

First impressions when I tried these with my i-River MP3 player were that the sound was a little harsh. But that was also dependant on the music I was listening to - with salsa music these headphones sound fantastic, with some Marilyn Manson they don't sound very nice.

The bass is tight but not overly loud - but it means when you turn up the volume there is little to no distortion. These headphones have a fantastic clarity to them! For e.g a lot of Creed songs have heavy guitar rifts, the ex71's struggle and often distort - but not these babies!

I find that when used with a better source such as my pc(ok not that much better) they sound better and the equilizer is much more adjustable so the treble is not so harsh even with Marilyn Manson tracks.

It makes artists like Adele a fantastic experience as the clarity of her voice really shines through.

These aren't the best for sound isolation though, the ex71's were a lot better in that department (and I did try using the different size silicon inserts).
I have had these headphones for about three months now and I am very happy with them :)
