Great sound and style for under £20

May 14, 2007 - By A. Kochhar (UK)

These headphones replaced my knackered iPOD ones and the sound from these sony ones is incredible compared to the iPOD's. There is a good quality depth to the sound and it even sounds good at low volumes. Classical music is crisp and anything with more bass is also coped with well. I would definitely recommend these to any iPOD owner and for anyone looking for a good quality set for under £20!

Solid acoustics, questionable ergonomics.

Oct 23, 2007 - By Mr. T. O. Brand (London)

First of all, the sound quality on these headphones is significantly better than the standard iPod set. The treble is very good, the bass is good but could do with a bit more punch on bassier tracks, but for most genres of music the Sony headphones create a very enjoyable sound. This is further benefitted from the "in ear" design which cuts down background noise well. The volume is also better, but that is perhaps in no small part due to the iPod earphones being so quiet rather than the Sony ones being particularly loud.

The set comes with a choice of ear plugs to fit most sizes of ears, but my problem was that I was "between sizes" meaning that one was a little too tight to fit in comfortably, and the other requires constant pushing in when listening to the iPod on the go, especially running.

The quality of the set seems very solid, and should last longer than the iPod set. For the money, this set provides great value for money too.

How did I live without them?

Mar 22, 2008 - By Alexandra (Manchester, England)

These earphones are fantastic, excellent quality for just over £15. After my apple earphones failed me miserably after just 3 months, these were a refreshing change and made me wonder how i lived with the terrible apple set for the past few months. I'm no technical wiz, but the bass is wonderful, and i can't hear any outside noise at all. The three sets of earpiecies included are sure to fit everyone, the do for me at anyrate. A fabulous little pair of earphones.

Nice (and Tidy)

Jan 30, 2008 - By Mr. M. J. Cawley (Liverpool, UK)

I got these to replace my knackered Apple ones (also!... thats 2 of us). With the in-ear design they do indeed reduce outside noice well. 3 settings for the ear-buds themselves mean that they will be to your liking in terms of fit, and the buds are secure so dont fall out easy.

And what I really like is the small tube-shaped piece of plastic that comes with it. At first I thought "whats this for?"... the answer.... CABLE MANAGEMENT.... No longer do I have to walk around with a big drooping cable to catch on door handles or anything I happen to walk past. This also means that the cables less likely to get tangle (coz its shorter!)... A few winds of the cable and a clip and thats it... problem fixed... what a ridiculously simple solution!

And their SONYs too which for me is the best make on the market!

So much better

Feb 23, 2008 - By Speckle (London)

I wanted a pair to replace my Apple ones that didn't last very long. The sound quality is so much better and I can have the volume setting a lot lower. I have a choice of three different sized ear bud attachments, one of which fits perfectly. They cost about the same as the Apple ones but are so much better in quality. Highly recommended if on a lower budget.
