Nice quality but bigger than it need be
I ordered this on the basis that it was tailor made for the DSC H9. I am however returning it for a refund under Amazon's excellent refund/return system.
The DSC H9 is a nice small compact camera considering it's features and Zoom length. This bag is actually quite large as it is designed to be used carrying the DSC H9 with the lens hood fitted. Due to it's size I don't use the lens hood and think the benefits are dubious anyway. If you want a nice bag that will take the DSC H9 and the lens hood this will be fine however if like me you don't there are smaller and more compact bags out there.

Well worth getting
This a good, no-nonsense carrying case. The camera is inserted lens down - with the adapter ring fitted and the lens hood in the stored position. It's very easy to insert/remove the camera this way. There's also a little pouch at the front for an additional memory stick or battery - you can just squeeze a 74mm filter in there too if need be.

A big case for small cameras
The Sony recomended this case for their DSC-HX1 camera, but it's too big! I'm pretty sure any modern DSLR would fit in it.
To me it's pointless buying a camera for its small size if you're going to carry it around in an oversized case, so I've now bought a proprietory brand case, which is a really snug fit but otherwise pretty much the same as the Sony case (but costing about 25% less).
The quality of the Sony case and it's feature are what you would expect, but you pay a premium for the brand which led me to expect it to be designed to fit their cameras perfectly - it doesn't.

Sony LCS-HB Carry Case
I bought this carry case for my Sony DSC-H50 camera and, as you would expect from most items bearing the Sony brand name, this is a good quality product. The camera fits perfectly with the lens hood fitted in its storage position. With the lens hood fitted in its normal position for taking photographs, the camera will still fit in the case, but it is a snug fit. However, this would only ever be a temporary way of storing your camera in the case. There is a small pouch at the front which will cater for a spare battery and memory card. The belt loop and adjustable strap give useful options for carrying the case.
All in all, a good quality carry case which "does what it says on the tin".

Sony LCS-HB carry case
It is good, but bulky. We bought it because it was recommended for our Sony HSX-1 camera, but the bag is a little too big. Having said that, for the price it is a quality product and allows us to place a smaller cybershot camera on the top too!!!
